SEO Tips

All you have to do is search online for SEO tips and you will come up with a variety of difference sources telling you different things on what works and what doesn’t work. Unfortunately over time many of these seo tips and tricks change, generally you will find that something that may have worked two years ago is now redundant.

A couple of years ago it was important to place your keywords in the meta tag as this was a great help to achieving high rankings in your chosen area. Nowadays these are not relevant with ranking whatsoever and are really just a means to ensuring that your site is indexed correctly.

Overtime there can be many changes in the search engine algorithm which will affect sites and it’s really up to the seo consultant to keep ahead of any changes. It’s important to keep ahead of any of these changes to ensure that relevant optimizations tactics.

To be honest there are probably three things that never really change to ensure you have a quality link.

Relevance – it’s important that all your links come from a page that is highly relevant to your topic.

Page Rank – this is Googles website quality score and if you get a link from a page with a high page ranking some of this PR is passed over to your website.

Anchor Text – to link back to your website should have hypertext which are keywords inserted. It’s important that these keywords vary.

The main aim is to get as many quality links as possible. Most people will link directly back to their home page. But, you must also consider other pages on your website that may also be optimized for the keywords that can still get you traffic.
