When I was coming up for the idea for this website my main plan was to ensure I offer affordable search engine optimisation.
As I’m sure you are well aware there are lots of SEO companies out there who offer these services already. They will promise to get you high rankings and charge you a monthly rate for this. They will do basic work like link building and help optimize your content (although many do not see the advantages of optimizing content)
In my honest opinion this can be a very affordable service to help market your website. It’s really a case of ensuring that you get the balance right between quality and affordability.
Just to give you an idea of the two types of SEO service that you will come across.
1. Cheap and nasty – you may come across many people recommending that you use an overseas SCO company to help market your website. Some of these will help you on your content optimization and if you look around you’ll come across many companies offering this type of service. They may also offer link building services but one of the problems is that they never really tell you what type of links they get and how they do it.
Generally, many people will stay with these types of companies for around three months until they eventually realize that they are getting no results whatsoever and decide to move on. Although, they do offer a service at a massively reduced price unfortunately the quality of SEO work can sometimes be poor.
2. The Big Boys – the second kind of company are generally the large companies that also happen to have a massive client portfolio of big brand names. Their customers will consist of medium to large online businesses and other big brands trying to make an impact in the online world. They will of course offer quality but they also charge for this and I sometime wonder how they get away with this type of pricing.
One of the big problems with the big boys is that they tend to push and market their product and services making people believe everything they say compared to a third option which is to work with an SEO consultants. You’ll find that SEO consultants tend to be more honest about what you can expect.
An SEO consultant will tend to only charge you for what they do. If they work for four hours building links they will only charge you for this. Generally, they will also coach you on how to market your business for the future. Giving you a plan and ideas to ensure that you are in total control and the reality is they become more like a business advisor ensuring that you market your business on the Internet in a structured manner where you are in total control.
Prices can of course vary but they will be somewhere between the cheap and nasty and the big boys and the more likely prefer to work with the small business owners and will work on a plan with the business owner to coach them with regards to how SEO works.
